OpenAI Announces Its AI-Powered Search Engine
According to Reuters , OpenAI plans to announce its AI-powered search product. It is noted that search capabilities will be integrated into ChatGPT. This will increase the company's competition with Google.

OpenAI, the creator of ChatGPT, is set to announce a new competitor to Google's search engine on Monday, May 13th.
Search engine from OpenAI
OpenAI plans to expand the functionality of its flagship product ChatGPT by integrating search capabilities into it. This will allow the chatbot to independently retrieve relevant information from the Internet and supplement its answers with links to sources.
Many experts have long considered ChatGPT as a potential alternative to traditional online information search. However, until now, it has been difficult for a chatbot to provide accurate, real-time data. OpenAI has previously integrated Microsoft's Bing search engine into the paid version of ChatGPT.
It is expected that the official announcement of the new search system from OpenAI may take place at the annual Google conference. At this event, the tech giant traditionally unveils many products related to artificial intelligence.
AI-powered search engines
Google previously announced AI features for its engine of the same name. However, OpenAI will compete with more than just Google Search. There are other AI-powered search engines: Perplexity, Exa API, Andi Search, TinEye and Chord .
Only Perplexity has gained popularity due to its AI-powered search interface that shows links in results and images. The startup is valued at $1 billion and has about 10 million monthly active users, according to a blog post.
