Wi-Fi sync and a trial period for paid games: a minor update has been released for Android

Google announced the latest update to Android system services, scheduled for release in March of this year. These updates include small but extremely useful improvements for phones, personal computers, and devices running the WearOS operating system.

A major change affected Google Play Services in version 26.10. It now features Wi-Fi syncing. This feature is designed to significantly simplify interaction between devices by automatically sharing and syncing known and trusted Wi-Fi networks. In theory, this means users won't have to re-enter passwords when switching between devices.

Play Store version 50.1 will introduce the ability to try some paid games before purchasing, simplifying the decision-making process. Furthermore, all progress made during the trial period will be retained if the user decides to purchase the game.

A visual update has also arrived for WearOS device owners. While browsing the Play Store, they will now see animated placeholders as the page loads.

Like most updates, these changes will be rolled out in stages, so some users will have to wait until they receive the new features.
