Samsung is still working on OneUI 8.5, and the first screenshots of OneUI 9 have already appeared online

Samsung continues to work on its proprietary OneUI 8.5 skin, and many users are still waiting to upgrade to the latest version of the South Korean OS. This didn't stop user @tarunvats33 from discovering OneUI 9 on Samsung's test servers.

According to a leak, the release of OneUI 9 won't happen until the Galaxy Z Fold 8 and other models launch later this year. Samsung has switched to a different software release schedule, with half-versions being released alongside flagship devices, such as the Galaxy S series. As you may recall, OneUI 8.5 was released alongside the Galaxy S26.

It's important to note that these aren't just screenshots or videos of the future operating system's interface. SamMobile journalists were able to test the discovered firmware and noted several changes: the volume and brightness sliders have become slightly larger, and the "Parental Controls" section in the settings has become more prominent.

Of course, all this information is meaningless at this point in time. Internal builds are more like concept designs and proof-of-concept than fully functional versions with upcoming features. Therefore, much could still change by the time OneUI 9 launches.
