Dimensity 7360 Turbo and 7200 mAh battery: vivo unveils Y51 Pro 5G smartphone

Vivo has launched a new Y-series smartphone in India, the Y51 Pro 5G. The device is the successor to the vivo Y31 Pro 5G, which debuted last September. The new device promises decent performance and long battery life.

Technical specifications

  • Display: 6.75 inches, LCD, HD+ resolution, 120 Hz refresh rate.
  • Processor: MediaTek Dimensity 7360-Turbo (eight cores, frequency up to 2.5 GHz, ARM Mali-G615 MC2 graphics).
  • RAM: 8 GB (LPDDR4X).
  • Built-in memory: 128 GB or 256 GB (UFS 3.1).
  • Battery: 7200 mAh with support for 44W fast charging.
  • Rear cameras: 50 MP (main) + 2 MP (depth sensor).
  • Front camera: 8 MP.
  • Operating system: OriginOS 6 based on Android 16.
  • Additional features include IP68/IP69 water and dust resistance, a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and dual SIM support.

The phone is 7.8 mm thick and weighs 219 g. The vivo Y51 Pro 5G is available in gold and maroon. It costs INR 24,999 (~$270) for the 8GB/128GB model. The 8GB/256GB variant will cost INR 27,999 (~$305).
