Apple will introduce the most affordable iPhone 17e in February 2026.
Apple's first major release in 2026 is expected to be the iPhone 17e, a new member of the company's most affordable smartphone lineup . Its release is expected approximately one year after the iPhone 16e's unveiling in February 2025.
The iPhone 17e is expected to feature the new 3nm A19 processor, the same chip found in the standard iPhone 17. This will improve overall performance, multitasking, and support new AI-powered features.
The screen design will also undergo changes. While the diagonal will remain the same at 6.1 inches, and features like Always-on Display and ProMotion are likely absent, the bezels will be thinner. The main update in this area will be the introduction of Dynamic Island—an interactive area at the top of the screen for displaying notifications and system information, replacing the traditional notch.
The selfie camera can be upgraded to an 18-megapixel sensor with Center Stage support. This feature automatically centers the frame on faces and allows you to take selfies in both vertical and horizontal orientations without rotating the device.
A key addition will be MagSafe support. Unlike its predecessor, which supported standard Qi wireless charging at up to 7.5W, the new model will be compatible with MagSafe accessories and support faster charging starting at 15W.
The iPhone 17e is expected to go on sale in February 2026. The starting price may remain at $599 (approximately 47,000 rubles), while the base version's storage capacity will reportedly increase from 128 to 256 GB, increasing the value proposition.
