Blue Screen of Death in Windows Will No Longer Happen
Microsoft has released a new preview build of Windows 11 version 24H2, number 26120.3653 (KB5053658), to Windows Insider program participants in the beta channel. The update includes several significant innovations aimed at improving system stability and accessibility.

The main innovation is the Quick Machine Recovery (QMR) feature, developed as part of the Windows Resiliency Initiative. This technology automatically diagnoses and fixes critical boot errors via the WinRE recovery environment. In the event of a failure, the system sends diagnostic data to Microsoft and receives targeted fixes via Windows Update. For home users, the feature is enabled by default, and corporate clients can customize it to suit their needs.
Another important update is the new Narrator Speech in Paraphrase feature. It allows you to view the history of spoken text (up to 500 recent phrases), copy individual fragments, and watch the transcription in real time. The feature is especially useful for visually impaired users, teachers, and people with hearing impairments.
The build also features an updated GSOD interface that better matches the Windows 11 design while still providing all the necessary technical information. In new builds, the system will display errors on a green background, abandoning the traditional blue color and sad smiley. The changes are gradually being rolled out to devices with version 24H2 and newer on all test channels.
A test patch package is expected to be released in the coming days to demonstrate the QMR mechanism in action.
