Based on reports from insiders, Apple's foldable iPhone could feature the largest battery of any company smartphone, outperforming its competitors. According to one Weibo user, the battery capacity could exceed 5,500 mAh. If accurate, it would surpass the battery in the current flagship iPhone 17 Pro Max (5,088 mAh), as well as the batteries in foldable phones from Google (5,015 mAh) and Samsung (4,400 mAh).

In addition to capacity, Apple is expected to prioritize energy efficiency. To achieve long battery life, the company is reportedly working to reduce the thickness of key components and will use high-density battery cells.

The same report also mentions other expected device specifications. These include a 7.8-inch internal display with no visible curve, a 5.5-inch external display, a Touch ID fingerprint scanner, and dual rear cameras. The foldable iPhone is expected to be unveiled in the fall of 2026, alongside the iPhone 18 series.
