Last month, parent company Alphabet released data on the YouTube video platform's performance, stating that its revenue by 2025 would exceed $60 billion. And just a few days ago, on March 9, analytics firm MoffettNathanson released its report, stating that YouTube's projected revenue is approximately $62 billion—an impressive result that clearly demonstrates the platform's rapid growth across all fronts. Furthermore, based on these latest figures, YouTube has surpassed even The Walt Disney Company's media business in revenue, becoming the largest media company in the world.

According to analysts, the media conglomerate that is part of The Walt Disney Company (excluding Disney's entertainment division) is expected to generate $60.9 billion in revenue in 2025. YouTube's management achieved such impressive results in this area largely thanks to advertising revenue—in the fourth quarter, the brand earned $11.4 billion from this channel (for the year, advertising revenue amounted to over $40 billion). However, YouTube's revenue isn't limited to this—its vast subscription services also generate revenue.

We're talking about YouTube Premium, YouTube Music, NFL Sunday Ticket, and, of course, YouTube TV (a virtual multichannel video service). According to analytics companies, YouTube TV currently has approximately 10 million active subscribers, making it likely to surpass pay TV leaders like Charter and Comcast in audience size in the coming years. As a result, YouTube's current market valuation is between $500 billion and $560 billion—significantly higher than any traditional media competitor. Netflix, with a valuation of $410 billion, is the closest to this figure.

Moreover, MoffettNathanson analysts believe that, thanks to substantial payouts to content creators, music companies, and media partners, YouTube's video platform will continue to grow rapidly for the foreseeable future. They also believe that investment in AI-powered tools, which will allow creators to produce content much faster than usual, will positively impact growth.
