Starlink Complies with Brazilian Court's Order to Block Access to X
SpaceX's satellite internet provider Starlink has begun blocking access to social network X (formerly Twitter) in Brazil. This happened after the country's Supreme Court froze Starlink's assets and banned X from operating due to Elon Musk's unwillingness to appoint a new legal representative for the platform in Brazil.

“Despite what we believe to be illegal measures taken against Starlink and the freezing of our assets, we comply with the demands to block access to X in Brazil.”

The company stressed that due to the freezing of its accounts in Brazil, it cannot conduct financial transactions in the country.
Elon Musk insisted that X and Starlink are legally separate companies, making the freezing of Starlink assets illegal. He even threatened retaliation, saying he would seek to seize Brazilian state assets if the government did not unfreeze X and SpaceX's accounts.
Recall that on August 17, the social network X announced the closure of its representative office in Brazil due to threats directed at employees. The company stated that it had received a secret order from de Morais, who threatened to arrest the representative office's legal adviser if the order to block certain accounts was not followed. At the same time, it was noted that the social network would remain accessible to users in Brazil.
