Nvidia Unveils Budget RTX 5060 Graphics Card

Nvidia has launched the GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card, the most affordable model in the Blackwell lineup aimed at the mass market and gamers playing at 1080p with DLSS 4. The card is already available in stores with a suggested retail price of $299, which is the same as the starting price of its predecessor, the RTX 4060.

The new product is equipped with a GB206-250 graphics processor with Blackwell architecture, which contains 3840 CUDA cores - 25% more than the RTX 4060. The amount of video memory remains the same (8 GB), but now it uses faster GDDR7 with a speed of 28 Gbps, a 128-bit bus and a bandwidth of up to 448 GB/s (versus 272 GB/s in the previous model).

According to Nvidia, the performance gain in rasterization reaches 25% compared to the RTX 4060. Support for DLSS 4 allows generating three additional frames for each rendered one, which provides over 100 FPS in games like Alan Wake II, STALKER 2, Cyberpunk 2077 and Doom: The Dark Ages - at maximum settings and in conjunction with the Ryzen 7 9800X3D. The card's computing power is 19 Tflops (FP32), 58 Tflops in ray tracing and 614 TOPS in AI operations.

Power consumption has increased to 145 W (+25 W), and PCIe 5.0 x8 is used for connection, which may reduce performance in older systems. At the same time, a mobile version of the RTX 5060 with 3328 CUDA cores, power consumption from 40 to 100 W and 8 GB of GDDR7 is presented. According to Nvidia, laptops with this video card will provide 144 FPS in eSports games and support for 8K video editing, their price starts at $ 1099.
