Google will allow users to change their @gmail.com email address.

Google will likely allow users to change the primary email address in their accounts, even if it ends in @gmail.com. Information about this update is currently posted on Google's Hindi support page. The company indicates that the feature is rolling out gradually.

Google will allow users to change their @gmail.com email address.

According to the updated instructions, after changing the old address to the new one, the old address will be set as an alias for the account. Emails will be sent to both addresses, and you can use either one to sign in to Google services such as Gmail, YouTube, or Drive. User data, including email history and files, will not be affected.

Some restrictions apply: for 12 months after changing your address, you won't be able to delete the new address or create another Gmail address in that account. Additionally, the total number of changes to your primary Gmail address is limited to three per account.

The company notes that the old email address will remain the user's and cannot be registered by anyone else. It may continue to appear in some services, such as Calendar events created before the change.

Access to the address change function, according to the information, will be provided through the "My Account" section.
