The new model will reportedly be built on Intel's next-generation Panther Lake processors, specifically the Core Ultra 5 325 and Ultra 7 358H. The laptop will have 24 or 32 gigabytes of RAM, and all versions will feature a terabyte of storage.

Xiaomi is clearly targeting the premium segment, moving away from its traditional image as a budget device maker. The 14-inch laptop's weight of just one kilogram is particularly noteworthy—it's significantly lighter than key competitors like the MacBook Air or Dell XPS, which weigh over 1.2 kilograms.

According to the company, the new product attempts to balance three key parameters: lightness, long battery life, and high performance. Manufacturers typically have to sacrifice one of these, but Xiaomi, judging by leaks, intends to achieve parity. Independent testing will reveal how successful this is.

The device's price is still under wraps, but given the components and materials used, experts expect it to cost between eight and twelve thousand yuan (90,000 and 135,000 rubles), more than one and a half times the price of the brand's budget models. The official announcement date is also unknown, but it's clear the company is seriously targeting the premium segment of the laptop market.
