SanDisk unveiled the world's smallest 1TB flash drive.

SanDisk has introduced the new SanDisk Extreme Fit flash drive with a USB-C interface. The manufacturer claims it is the world's smallest 1 TB model. The device is already available in some markets, and the 1 TB version has a suggested retail price of $119.99.

SanDisk unveiled the world's smallest 1TB flash drive.

The drive has a compact form factor, measuring 18.50 x 15.70 x 13.60 mm and weighing 3 grams. Its plug-and-stay design allows it to be connected to laptops like the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro, or iPads with a USB-C port, without creating a significant protrusion. According to the company, the drive fits snugly over the port and can remain connected even when the device is in a bag.

The flash drive supports the USB 3.2 Gen 1 standard and delivers read speeds of up to 400 MB/s for 128 GB to 1 TB capacities. This speed is sufficient for quickly transferring photos, videos, and documents, but it does not support recording video in high-bandwidth formats, such as ProRes 4K at 120 fps on iPhone. Compatibility is stated with Windows 10 and later, macOS 12 and later, and iPadOS 15 and later.

SanDisk also offers the Memory Zone app for Windows and Mac, which helps you manage files, create backups, and free up storage space on your primary device.
