Intel releases six new Arc GPUs

Two years after the debut of Arc Alchemist GPUs, Intel is announcing six new Arc products aimed at embedded systems. Advanced systems that process data close to the source to reduce latency and bandwidth usage are becoming increasingly important in areas such as IoT, autonomous vehicles and artificial intelligence applications.

The new Arc on edge GPUs are based on Intel's Xe-core scalable architecture and support AI acceleration, visual computing and media processing. And with the OpenVINO toolkit, developers can deploy AI models on any Intel device.

Arc's embedded products offer a range of benefits, including reduced latency, increased throughput efficiency, and improved privacy and security.

For high performance and handling intensive AI workloads and advanced use cases such as facial recognition and generative speech, the 7XXE is available. The 5XXE is designed to deliver immersive visuals and advanced AI-powered output capabilities, while Intel offers the 3XXE for low power, compact form factor requirements.

A total of six models are available: A310E and A3503 with 6 Xe cores, A370E and A380E with 8 cores, and A580E and A750E with 28 cores. The A310E, A3503 and A370E are equipped with 4GB of GDDDR6 RAM with 112Gbps bandwidth. The A380E has 6GB with 186Gbps bandwidth, while the memory capacity of the A580E and A750E is currently unknown. There is also no launch date for the latter two, just TBD. The remaining four models will be available this month.

Intel Arc GPUs are designed to work with 10th generation Intel Core processors and above, and Intel Xeon W-3400 and W-2400 processors. A number of products with new Arc GPUs are also expected to be released in the coming months from Intel partners including ADLINK, Advantech, Asus, Matrox and Sparkle.
