Apple has deprecated the 2020 MacBook Air and several other devices.

Apple has updated its list of deprecated products. This time, the list includes the 2020 MacBook Air, the last Air laptop with Intel processors. Also added to the list are the iPhone 11 Pro, Apple Watch Series 5 models, the 128GB version of the iPhone 8 Plus, and the iPad Air 3 with cellular support.

On December 1, 2025, Apple added the original 2016 iPhone SE to its list of obsolete products. Last year, Apple also added the 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pro (2017), 11-inch MacBook Air (2015), 64GB and 256GB iPhone 8 Plus, Mac mini (2018), and iPhone 6s to this list.

According to Apple policy, devices are considered vintage after five years and obsolete after seven years after they are discontinued. For vintage products, the company may continue to provide service and parts, depending on availability, including through special programs such as Mac laptop battery replacements up to 10 years old. Full hardware support ends for obsolete devices.

However, being added to the list doesn't always mean the immediate end of all software support. For example, the iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are still compatible with the latest version of iOS 26.
