X-Humanoid unveiled the open-architecture humanoid robot Tiangong 3.0
Chinese company X-Humanoid unveiled Embodied Tiangong 3.0, a next-generation universal robotic platform. The device is powered by the company's Huisi Kaiwu Embodied Intelligence Platform
According to the developers, Tiangong 3.0 has become the first full-size humanoid robot capable of touch-based interactive control of the entire body under high dynamic loads.
The platform is equipped with multiple expansion interfaces, enabling the integration of peripheral devices for various scenarios, including specialized operations and industrial manufacturing. The robot's software supports ROS2, MQTT, and TCP/IP protocols. The system is compatible with secondary development tools and a low-code platform, allowing for enhanced functionality without changing the underlying technology.
X-Humanoid has opened access to a number of its proprietary developments: the Embodied Tiangong hardware platform, the Pelican-VL visual language model, and the RoboMIND dataset. This should lower technical barriers for third-party developers.
The robot is equipped with integrated high-torque joints that provide stability and the ability to overcome obstacles up to one meter high. Its high degrees of freedom enable it to perform tasks with millimeter-level precision. The Huisi Kaiwu platform integrates perception, decision-making, and execution functions, synchronizing motion control and high-level planning. The architecture supports autonomous operation and asynchronous coordination between multiple robots, enabling control of a group of devices from a single central location.
